Second City Hockey Redesign Part II, Electric Boogaloo
A little bit of website maintenance is on the way this week.

Happy Monday.
The hockey doldrums remain in complete and total effect, so we're taking this time to transition our website to the new publishing platform that will serve as its long-time home on the internet.
By the way: did you know that the Blackhawks have Connor Bedard now?
Anyway, this overhaul should not take an incredibly long time and is expected to be started – and completed – on Monday. This article is going out in lieu of the Morning Bag Skate, which will resume on Wednesday morning – not that there's a ton of hockey things happening at the moment, anyway.
On the other side of this brief timeout, we will share an update with everyone which will detail the new features associated with the switch to a new publishing platform. For a headstart on that, feel free to check out this article over at Raw Charge, as our website is going to have a similar look, feel and functionality as that one – just with our clearly superior color scheme in place. Know that the esteemed LBR has been part of the group working diligently on the design and the outcome of that work will be as excellent as the other she's done.
The goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible for everyone in the SCH community. There will be a requirement to log back in once the new overhaul is complete. Additionally, we've been using (and paying for) Hyvor's comment sections to post at our website since we moved over. Since this overhaul will come with the installation of a comment system native to the website – and the Z-key is coming back! – we will no longer be using Hyvor's comment sections at SCH. That is the only substantial change on your end as a visitor of SCH. Everything else should continue in its current form. We hope that rolling all these changes out in August will result in any bugs being squashed well before the season hits its stride in October.
Our annual Top 25 Under 25 is on the way within the next week. Other than that, enjoy the rest of the summer and we can't wait to see you at the new site for this upcoming new era of Blackhaws hockey.
